US Multi-Channel Fulfillment: Fee Update and Faster Shipping

  • On January 19, 2023, Amazon has updated Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) fees and launched improvements, including faster shipping, free integrator apps, and enhanced shipment tracking functionality. Improvements include improvements of standard shipping speed from 7 days to 5 days.Also continue to offer expedited three-day shipping and priority two-day shipping. New MCF features, including free-to-install MCF app experiences for BigCommerce, Wix, and Adobe (Magento), and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification of their IT security systems.

Walmart News: Walmart’s Answer to Amazon Vine Paid Product Reviews

  • Walmart recently told branded merchants who sell on its marketplace about a program that lets them pay for product reviews through Plum’s Field Agent program for $15 per review. Walmart and Amazon both understand that product reviews are helpful in getting shoppers to make a purchase. Amazon said that participating in the Vine program could help boost sales up to 19% on new or slow-moving products.

  • When you activate an Invoice by Amazon, your offers are eligible to be bought and instantly re-sold by Amazon to business customers. Update to US Referral and FBA Fees Starting January 17, 2023

  • Important Call Outs effective Jan 17
    • Referral fees will remain unchanged
    • Fuel & Inflation Surcharge being removed altogether, and temporary charge that is being baked into FBA fees
    • Additional granularity in our FBA fees will drive improved inventory health, more efficient use of Amazon’s storage, and create more capacity for sellers who are using space efficiently (Healthy Sell-through)
      • Increase FBA outbound fee rates
      • For Apparel products, the granularity of unit weight or dimensional weight to determine the shipping weight for all large standard-size products
      • Reducing returns processing fee rates for customer-returned products in the Apparel and Shoes categories
      • Increase the monthly off-peak storage fee (January to September) for standard-size products and oversized products
      • Introducing a storage utilization surcharge for sellers who have slow-moving inventory based on weekly sales
      • Increase the surcharges applied to inventory stored between 180-270 days and 271-365 days
      • Increase removal and disposal fees
