The apparel category is vast and continues to grow year over year. While Amazon is quick to adapt to many changes it does not always move as quickly as the innovations that many brands have created. Our brand faces many challenges due to compliance requirements that Amazon requests but unfortunately, it does not apply to the products. (We are waiting for Amazon to catch up to the innovation in the industry.)

The Compliance restraints have affected the performance of the account. Our client was looking for improvement in sales despite the Compliance challenges. Looking for ways to grow sales on an account that had not been given the proper attention.

The brand launched on Amazon in 2021 and by Q1 2023 they were ready to prioritize the brand.

Test test test

Not all strategies will yield the same results for all brands truly understanding your brand and the audience you are targeting is key in the success of the strategy. Most assume that the deeper the discount the better the products will perform. This brand had never tested any of the promotions available on the platform. We ran coupons at different percentages (20%-25%) and ran several iterations of Buy More Save More.

The Results

Buy More Save More Promotion Introduction

The promotion that had the best performance was a Buy More Save More promotion. This not only increased overall sales but also increased the basket size. The average basket size while this promotion ran was the highest the account has had. The basket size increased by 26% in comparison with the months when it was a straight coupon discount.

Total sales have increased at a satisfactory pace Month over Month since implementing a Promotional Strategy.
